CloudSync enables users to synchronize their projects between computers and browsers by integration with their existing cloud storage provider. Word Cloud Plus takes data security very seriously and prides itself on its design that does send project data over the Internet. However, this means that a project only exists within the browser the user is currently using. CloudSync provides users with a secure way to allow projects to roam between devices.
When enabled, CloudSync will "watch" for changes in any project, once a change has been detected it will encrypt a copy of the project and upload it to the user's cloud storage provider. Each user is issued their own unique encryption key. The upshot of this is that no one but the project owner can view the data within, not even the Word Cloud Plus team or the storage provider. Think of it like end-to-end encryption, but both ends are you.
6. CloudSync using Google Drive will now be enabled for your account. To enable a project to roam using CloudSync, go to Enabling a project to roam with CloudSync.
After completing the steps above, you will now find your project available on any computer you log in to.
At the moment, we only support Google Drive, but we have plans to add other cloud storage providers soon. Feel free to get in touch to let us know which one providers would be of most use to you.
